Sometimes there are nice holes for fish to swim through or there are other nice vistas. All pieces have a flat side on which it can stand upright. In columnar aquariums, one piece can steal the show. If necessary, the pieces of wood can also be cut to the desired length or angle with a saw. They could also be used on their side to create terraces in the aquarium.

NOTE: In many cases the wood sinks immediately. Pre-soak the piece of wood before using it in the aquarium to make sure it sinks on its own. Depending on the thickness, it can take several days. Because this is a natural product, it can release substances into the water, which can cause it to turn yellow. Activated charcoal or Zeolite will help reduce this.
