Το Bekko είναι μια ποικιλία γνωστή για την απλότητά του. Μπορούν να διατεθούν σε τρία διαφορετικά βασικά χρώματα: λευκό (Shiro Bekko), κόκκινο (Aka Bekko) και κίτρινο (Ki Bekko). Το Shiro Utsuri είναι το πιο κοινό, ενώ το Ki Bekko είναι το πιο σπάνιο.

Το σούμι του πρέπει να ξεκινά ακριβώς από τον ώμο και να συνεχίζει μέχρι την ουρά. Είναι επίσης επιθυμητό να έχουν μπλε μάτια.

Θα πρέπει να σημειωθεί ότι εάν ένα Shiro Bekko έχει οποιαδήποτε κόκκινη σήμανση, ταξινομείται αυτόματα ως Sanke, ακόμα κι αν είναι απλώς ένα μικρό σημείο. Ομοίως, η ίδια λογική ισχύει εάν ένα Ki ή Aka Bekko έχουν λευκά σημάδια πάνω τους.

Η πιο εύκολη ράτσα για να μπερδέψεις ένα Shiro Bekko είναι η Shiro Utsuri, ο ευκολότερος τρόπος να πεις τη διαφορά είναι ότι σε ένα Shiro bekko το σώμα είναι λευκό με μαύρες κηλίδες. Σε ένα Shiro Utsuri είναι το αντίθετο μαύρο με λευκές κηλίδες.

The Bekko is a variety known for its simplicity. They can come in three sifferent base colors: white (Shiro Bekko), red (Aka Bekko), and yellow (Ki Bekko). The Shiro Utsuri is the most common, whereas the Ki Bekko is the most rare.

On top of their base color, the Bekko has scattered–but balanced– black spots (sumi) running down its back. A good quality Bekko will have bright, vibrant colors, ink-black sumi, and preferably a pure white head. Its sumi should begin right at the shoulder and continue down to the tail. It is also desirable for them to have blue eyes.

It should be noted that if a Shiro Bekko has any red markings whatsoever, it is automatically classified as a Sanke even if it is just a tiny speck. Likewise, the same logic applies if a Ki or Aka Bekko have any white markings on them.

The easiest breed to mistake a Shiro Bekko for is Shiro Utsuri, the easiest way to tell the difference is in a Shiro bekko the body is white with black spots. On a Shiro Utsuri it’s the opposite black with white spots.

These are the most common type of Bekko, and have an entirely white base with dalmation-like Sumi spots, again on the body but not the head.
There should be no other colours present other than white and black.
